Welcome to Dubstep
The word dubstep has changed a lot. That's OK, but let's remember where it came from.
Whenever you feel too much midrange wobbling in your ears, or whenever someone tags a completely terrible tune with the word "dubstep", link them to this historic list.
I know there's loads of other good tracks, and I know this list is biased. Who cares, it's a good start, and it's a much better start than typing "dubstep" into YouTube, because that's some scary shit.
So here's the essential introduction to proper, original, bass weight dubstep bangerism, with a few proper wobblers. These tracks are in no particular order, except I put Benga and Skream first, obviously.

PS: Due to the inevitable arguments about the history of dubstep and the dark garage roots and blah blah where's Burial etc, I will quote Skream, so you can all stop arguing about where dubstep comes from and just accept the opinion of one of the guys that actually started it:

"For me this was the first Dubstep tune....The term 'Dubstep' came around shortly after this tune was made..It was either gonna be called that or 'Raggage'(Which sounds like an STD) .....For me Horsepower Productions are the pioneers of the sound..." - Skream
